What the heck is
Humans vs. Zombies?

Humans Vs. Zombies (HvZ) was created in 2005 by a group of students at Goucher College in Baltimore, MD. The goal was to make a modified game of tag utilizing foam dart blasters. Word spread quickly and the game was introduced to college campuses nationwide!

While a game of tag at its core, HvZ also incorporates aspects of teamwork, puzzle solving, and survival instincts across a multitude of Moderator created missions that will test the skills of each player. Human players must complete these missions while protecting themselves and their fellow humans from the ever growing hoard of zombies players seeking to eat their brains. Don’t worry, no brains are actually eaten, the rules stipulate that a hand to body tag satiates the zombie hunger.

UNC Charlotte has a long tradition of HvZ that dates back to 2010 when it was first introduced to campus. There have been numerous games of HvZ played with player counts well into the multiple hundreds and countless unique game mechanics invented to keep things fresh and exciting.

Whether you are an experienced player or just now discovering HvZ, we guarantee that Endwar has something for you!
