What is Humans vs Zombies (HvZ)? HvZ was created in 2005 by a group of students at Goucher College in Baltimore, MD. The goal was to make a modified game of tag utilizing foam dart blasters. Word spread quickly and the game was introduced to campuses nationwide!

Endwar was founded in 2017 by Drac out of a love for the game and hobby he has invested so much of his self into. He set out with the goal of bringing HvZ players from across the nation together into a massive cross community game. In collaboration with multiple college organizations and members of the larger foam flinging community, Drac was able to achieve this goal, running the largest game of HvZ to date! Today, Endwar remains seen as one of the premier HvZ events globally.

The combination of HvZ, a foam flinging convention, and a competitive PvP tournament was a novel experience at the time! However, over the years, this format Drac pioneered is now an adopted set up for many large scale open invitational events. While Endwar has traveled to different universities over the years, it has found a home at UNCC.
